By using the services provided by William Santus & Co Ltd you agree to abide by our terms and conditions as set out on this page and on this website. These terms and conditions apply to all products purchased from this website. Please print a copy of these terms and conditions for your records.

This does not affect your statutory rights, in relation to faulty or misdescribed goods, details of which can be obtained from Consumer Direct (the Government’s consumer advice helpline) or your local Trading Standards Office.

REGISTRATION

In order to use the services provided by William Santus & Co Ltd it may be necessary to register and provide correct information. Any information we collect about you is held in accordance with our privacy policy.
We are only allowed to accept orders from customers who are 18 years of age or older. If you are under the age of 18 and would like to make a purchase please ask an adult to place the order for you instead.

MISUSE OF OUR SITE

We reserve the right to refuse access to our services to anybody who misuses www.uncle-joes.com in any way. You must not interfere with, or attempt to interfere with, any of the workings of the website or any information held by us.

ACCURACY

We have made every possible effort to ensure that the content of www.uncle-joes.com is accurate and up to date. We reserve the right to amend any errors or omissions at our discretion and will endeavour to do so at the earliest opportunity.

Please be aware that the colours and appearance of products may vary slightly from the way they appear on the screen. The items have been photographed at a high resolution but are displayed on the website at a lower level to enable acceptable download times.

We reserve the right to change the Terms & Conditions from time to time, and post a new version on our website. The new version will take effect from the time of posting on the site.

PRICE AND AVAILABILITY

All prices (including any applicable taxes) are as specified besides the relevant product displayed on the website and exclude delivery charges unless otherwise stated. For details of the delivery charges, see the “DELIVERY” clause in these terms and conditions.

All prices shown are inclusive of VAT where applicable. VAT is currently set at 20%.

Prices, special offers and availability information are subject to change without notice. You will be advised of any changes to price, special offers and availability when you place an item in your shopping basket before you make a purchase.

ORDERS

When you place an order online, you will have the opportunity to check the details of your order and correct any errors before placing the order. When you place your order you are making an offer to buy. You will be sent an e-mail (“ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF ORDER”) confirming receipt of your order from PayPal. The ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF ORDER is not acceptance of your offer. If your offer has been accepted you will be contacted by us via e-mail confirming the details of your order (“ORDER CONFIRMATION”). At this time your offer to buy will have been accepted and a legally binding contract will be formed and your order will be despatched to you.

PAYMENT OPTIONS

CREDIT/DEBIT CARD (ON-LINE PAYMENT)
We do not have access to your debit/credit card details. Our payment processing is carried out by PayPal and complies with the highest privacy regulations and the best encryption software in the industry – SSL (Secure Sockets Layer). You can tell the page is secure by the padlock icon being displayed on your browser. When you are making an on-line payment through PayPal you must also abide by the Terms & Conditions they give. ORDER CONFIRMATION

Your order confirmation e-mail will provide the following information:

• order reference number
• delivery name and address
• date of order
• item(s) ordered and prices
• grand total
• any special delivery notes you have requested
• information about how to cancel an order
• information about how to return goods

CHANGING YOUR ORDER

Please check your order confirmation e-mail carefully. If you wish to make a change to your order please email us as at sweetshop@uncle-joes.com as soon as possible.

DELIVERY

Please note that an extra delivery charge may be applicable for any alternative delivery method you request.

If you have any queries about delivery please email sweetshop@uncle-joes.com We endeavour to despatch orders within 1 (one) – 3 (three) working days and customers should allow up to 5 (five) days for UK delivery.

Consignments are delivered to the delivery address but not necessarily to the named Receiver personally.

One attempt to deliver will be made by the Courier. Thereafter, the Courier may request instructions from the Receiver, following which re- delivery will be attempted.

Where appropriate the Courier may deliver Consignments to an address within a reasonably immediate vicinity.

If no one is available to take delivery, the Courier will make a further attempt or attempts and if delivery cannot be completed,  the Courier will apply a Return To Sender label and return the Consignment to the Sender at the senders cost.  This cost, and any further costs incurred, may be passed on to the customer.

OVERSEAS DELIVERIES

Our standard terms of delivery to outside of the UK are: The customs charges along with any additional charges that may be applied by recipient countries in the European Union and rest of the world, are the responsibility of the receiver. William Santus & Co Ltd does not have any control over these charges and are not liable for the payment of any such charges.

REFUNDS

We believe that you will be delighted with your product but there may be occasions where you feel it necessary to return an item. We aim to keep the process as simple as possible. These terms do not affect your statutory rights.

We will try to attend to all returns as soon as practically possible.

UNWANTED PRODUCTS

Our policy is to ensure that you are satisfied every time you place an order with William Santus & Co Ltd. If you are unhappy with an item when you receive it or if you simply change your mind please return it to us within 30 days, with the despatch note, in unused condition, having taken reasonable care of it and in an unused state complete with packaging and all components, and we will refund you the price you paid for that product (excluding P&P).

We will make the refund directly to the credit/charge card used to place the original order within 30 days or earlier once we have inspected the returned item and are satisfied that it has been returned to us in the condition it was in when delivered to you.

You will only have to pay for the return postage of the products.

Certain products and services are excluded from this returns policy, including food/perishable items, personalised products or those made to order. These items cannot be returned for a refund unless faulty. products excluded such as these are clearly marked on the product information page. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Faulty products

We try to select and package the products as well as possible to ensure they arrive in good condition. However, if a product arrives damaged or with defects, or is not what you ordered, we will replace it free of charge or provide a full refund as appropriate, if you return the product to us at the postal address below within 30 days of receipt.

In these circumstances we will also pay you the cost of the return postage. Please obtain a proof of posting certificate from your Post Office to enable us to process the refund for your return postage costs.

RETURNING UNWANTED OR FAULTY PRODUCTS

Please contact us by telephone (on 01942 243464) or email sweetshop@uncle-joes.com to inform us of your wish to return products.

We may allocate you with a Returns Code which should be included with the package to improve processing of your return.

We may also advise you how to send the item back to us. Occasionally items may have to be picked up by a courier service. Otherwise, please use a secure delivery method which requires a signature upon receipt (such as via Royal Mail First Class Recorded Delivery) and return to:

NUTS AND ALLERGIES

Please note that many products are produced in an environment where nuts are sometimes present therefore we are unable to guarantee our products will be nut free. Many manufacturers use the same production lines for a number of products for example so it is not possible to guarantee that any product is free of any particular ingredient.

OUT OF STOCK POLICY

Occasionally we may run out of a particular item. We will then contact you with a possible replacement, which will be of the same or greater value, or an estimated time of when we shall be receiving new stock in. If neither of these are acceptable solutions we will refund part of your order.

COMPLAINTS

We aim to deliver the highest level of customer service. However, if you feel you would like to complain about any matter please e-mail us at sweetshop@uncle-joes.com and we will reply as soon as possible and in any case you will at least receive an acknowledgement within 3 (three) working days whilst we work to resolve your complaint.

MISCELLANEOUS

In the event we are unable to comply with our obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, we shall not be liable for such inability to comply with our obligations or resulting delays.

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.

All sales will be conducted in English.

This contract will not be filed.
